Description:

We are seeking a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Director (TRD) with experience in Long-Term Care and Alzheimer's/Dementia programming to join our team. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through meaningful engagement, individualized programming, and collaborative care planning.

Schedule:

• •Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• •Every 4th weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• •Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive monthly activities calendar for a designated long-term care/memory care unit.
• •Coordinate and lead therapeutic recreation programs designed to meet the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social needs of residents.
• •Complete MDS assessments, annual assessments, quarterly progress notes, and documentation for new admissions.
• •Participate in weekly care plan meetings and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident-centered care.
• •Build strong relationships with residents and their families, providing regular communication and support.
• •Partner closely with nursing and other clinical team members to enhance programming and improve resident outcomes.
• •Evaluate program effectiveness and continuously introduce creative and innovative activities to increase resident engagement.

Qualifications

• •Certified Therapeutic Recreation Director (TRD) required.
• •Experience working in Long-Term Care and with residents living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
• •Knowledge of MDS assessments and regulatory documentation requirements.
• •Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• •Creative, energetic, and passionate about improving the resident experience.
• •Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team.
