- Job Summary As a Trade Lifecycle Manager in the Custody and Depository Operations team, you serve as a broker-facing point of contact across the custody trade lifecycle, partnering with internal operations teams to promote exceptions and breaks through to closure. Job responsibilities
- Serve as a broker-facing point of contact across the custody trade lifecycle, partnering with internal operations teams to drive exceptions and breaks through to closure.
- Lead research and investigations with relevant operations managers to understand weekly lifecycle trends, exception themes, and root causes, and translate findings into actionable improvements.
- Build and maintain standardized operating practices across CICS and Depository Operations functions, and deliver periodic knowledge-share sessions to improve consistency and execution quality.
- Use a data-driven approach to identify bottlenecks and performance opportunities, and implement measurable enhancements to lifecycle outcomes (e.g., faster resolution times, fewer repeats).
- Ensure broker queries and requests are handled within agreed SLAs, escalating operational dependencies as needed to deliver timely outcomes.
- Drive automation and workflow optimization initiatives (including use of BI and AI capabilities) to improve transparency, reduce manual touchpoints, and enhance scalability across regions.
- Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum 10 years in the Financial Services industry, with strong financial markets product knowledge and a solid understanding of the Custody transaction / trade lifecycle (including settlements).
- Strong understanding of data analytics, with hands-on experience using BI tools such as Alteryx and Tableau .
- Knowledge of LLM capabilities and prompt engineering to deliver AI-based solutions using in-house tools and platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work closely with business partners across Operations and related functions.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, organize and prioritize effectively, and manage multiple deliverables concurrently.
- Strategic thinking paired with practical execution and ownership.
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey clear messages to both internal teams and external counterparts (brokers).
