Trade Management Services Data Analyst - Assistant Vice President

Team/Role Overview

Join Citi's Global Business Expense Transparency organization as a Capital Markets Business/Data Analyst. You'll drive the development and enhancement of our Trade Cost Calculator and Analytics platform—a best-in-class system providing critical insights into trading costs and activities across global markets. This role demands a seasoned professional who can bridge business and technology, working directly with trading desks, business management, and senior stakeholders to deliver actionable analytics and drive platform evolution.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Development & Analytics

• •Lead development initiatives for the VARCITI trade cost analytics platform
• •Design and deliver robust trade and cost analytics, including volume profiling, product analysis, and expense trend identification
• •Develop and refine reconciliation processes for trade expense analytics against third-party invoices

Stakeholder Collaboration

• •Partner with Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, and Technology teams to understand dependencies and design effective metrics
• •Engage trading desks and senior stakeholders to promote platform capabilities and gather enhancement requirements
• •Own trading cost fee calculations and volume reconciliation processes across multiple products

Requirements & Delivery

• •Collaborate with technology teams throughout the software development lifecycle to translate business requirements into timely feature releases
• •Analyze enhancement opportunities to increase transparency and accuracy in cost reporting
• •Gather and document requirements for new metrics, reporting enhancements, and onboarding requests

What we’ll need from you

Experience & Knowledge

• •Intermediate experience in commercial, fast-paced business environments with focus on technology or financial analysis
• •Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• •Knowledge of trade flow processes and systems preferred
• •Knowledge of products traded across Fixed Income, Commodities, and Equities preferred
• •Proven track record identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements in data/analytical workflows

Technical Skills

• •Advanced SQL proficiency (required)
• •Expertise in data visualization tools (QlikView, Tableau, or similar)
• •Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• •Familiarity with Agile methodologies
