- The Nursing Resources team works closely together in a cohesive environment
- We work alongside charge nurses and leaders to assign staff and patients to appropriate units to ensure the best patient care
- Our Nursing Resources team consists of Bed Control Specialists, Staffing Coordinators and Direct Call Specialists serving Freeman West and Freeman East
What You’ll Do
The Transfer Center Nurse facilitates safe, efficient patient transfers by triaging clinical data and coordinating bed placement. They serve as the primary point of contact for external hospitals seeking to refer patients to the health system, ensuring that every transition is medically appropriate and timely.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice or a multi-state compact license.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Experience: Requires 2–5 years of acute care experience.
Preferred Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Certifications: Advanced Life Support (ACLS).
- Experience: Preference for backgrounds in Emergency (ER) or Critical Care (ICU).
