Emery Sapp & Sons is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Loader Operator to support operations at two concrete plant locations: the MCI Airport Concrete Plant in Kansas City, MO and the Lawrence Concrete Plant in Lawrence, KS . This position is responsible for operating a front-end loader to move, stockpile, and load aggregate materials while supporting daily concrete production.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to travel between the MCI Airport and Lawrence plant locations as operational needs require.

Location & Travel

  • Primary work locations are: MCI Airport Concrete Plant (Kansas City, MO) Lawrence Concrete Plant (Lawrence, KS)
  • This position regularly works between both plant locations.
  • Reliable transportation is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a front-end loader in a concrete plant environment.
  • Maintain aggregate stockpiles and load material into bins, hoppers, and trucks.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
  • Report maintenance and repair needs promptly.
  • Assist with plant operations, housekeeping, and material management.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with plant personnel and truck drivers.
  • Support production needs at both the MCI Airport and Lawrence concrete plants.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy equipment operation preferred
  • 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment, with experience in a construction setting preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus
