Ubuntu Package Management - Engineering Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Ubuntu Package Management - Engineering Manager based in Croatia.

• As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team responsible for the technologies that underpin software management and system lifecycle experiences across Ubuntu.
• You will combine technical leadership with people management, shaping engineering direction while supporting the growth and development of experienced engineers.
• Your scope will span package management, software distribution, driver and firmware management, updates, upgrades, and release processes.
• You will influence architecture, roadmap planning, engineering quality, reliability, security, and long-term maintainability across critical platform technologies.
• Working with globally distributed engineering teams, you will build strong partnerships across product, security, desktop, server, release engineering, and other functions.
• The role offers the opportunity to contribute to widely used open source infrastructure while collaborating with upstream communities and projects.
