Underwriting Manager - Workers Compensation

This leadership role is responsible for driving profitable growth and underwriting performance across an assigned Workers’ Compensation territory. You’ll oversee underwriting strategy, portfolio management, risk selection, pricing discipline, and agency development while leading a regional underwriting team. The position combines deep technical underwriting expertise with market-facing leadership and strategic business development. You’ll serve as a senior referral authority for complex accounts and help shape regional business plans and growth opportunities. Collaboration spans distribution, claims, actuarial, finance, product, compliance, and operations teams. You’ll also contribute to underwriting modernization through analytics, automation, AI-enabled tools, and scalable operational practices.
