JOB OVERVIEW

• We are seeking an established and highly respected Institutional Equities Research leader to head and further build the firm's Institutional Equities Research Sector.
• This is a senior leadership mandate for a professional with 18–20+ years of experience, deep expertise in fundamental equity research, and the ability to provide a broad, sector-agnostic
• perspective across the Indian equity markets.
• The successful candidate will combine research excellence, institutional investor relationships, team leadership and market visibility, and will play a key role in establishing the firm's research franchise as a recognized voice within the Institutional Equities ecosystem.

SKILLS AND TRAITS REQUIRED

•  An Institutional Equities Research professional with substantial senior leadership experience.
•  A recognized fundamental research specialist with the ability to analyze businesses across sectors.
•  Strong in financial analysis, business evaluation, valuation and investment frameworks.
•  Well connected with senior institutional investors and key market participants.
•  An experienced leader capable of attracting, developing and retaining high-quality research talent.
•  A strong communicator with excellent research writing, presentation, public-speaking and media skills.
•  Well known and respected within the Institutional Equities Research industry, with an established professional profile.
•  Comfortable representing a financial institution across TV media, financial publications, conferences and digital platforms.
•  CA / CFA Charter / MBA (Finance) or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

• Research Leadership
•  Lead the overall Institutional Equities Research function and define its research strategy, coverage and priorities.
•  Drive independent, differentiated and high-conviction fundamental research across sectors, companies and investment themes.
•  Oversee research quality, financial modelling, valuation frameworks, thematic research and major corporate/market developments.
•  Personally contribute to flagship research reports, thematic studies and important investment views.
• Leadership & Talent
•  Build, lead and mentor a high-calibre team of Institutional
• Equity Analysts.
•  Establish a culture of intellectual independence, analytical rigour and differentiated thinking.
•  Identify and develop senior research talent and strengthen the long-term research leadership pipeline.
• Institutional Relationships
•  Develop strong relationships with CIOs, Fund Managers, Portfolio Managers, FIIs, DIIs, Mutual Funds, PMS/AIFs and other institutional investors.
•  Represent the firm's research capabilities through investor meetings, conferences, roadshows and strategic client interactions.
•  Work closely with Institutional Sales and senior management to strengthen the overall institutional franchise.
• Thought Leadership & Market Representation
•  Serve as a senior market-facing representative and spokesperson for the firm's Institutional Equities Research platform.
•  Establish a strong presence across business television, financial media, podcasts, conferences, investor forums and relevant digital/social media platforms, subject to applicable compliance requirements.
•  Provide credible market commentary and thought leadership on companies, sectors, earnings, investment themes and broader market developments.
•  Enhance the firm's visibility, reputation and intellectual capital within the Institutional Equities and capital-markets ecosystem.
• Governance & Research Standards
•  Ensure the highest standards of research quality, independence, integrity and governance.
•  Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies.
•  Maintain a disciplined and robust research process across the entire Institutional Equities platform.
