Job Summary

This role requires an understanding of digital assets and blockchain technology with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing B2B enterprise sales teams selling into banks, brokerages, large fintech platforms, payments technology companies and crypto native businesses.

This role will support in setting the strategic and commercial direction for the Enterprise API Sales vertical, working with the wider team of Sales Directors. The VP Sales, Enterprise API Sales is personally accountable for qualifying opportunities, developing tailored proposals, closing high-value enterprise deals and working cross functionally with the wider enterprise organisation to deliver meaningful value.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work directly with SVP, Platform & Enterprise Partnerships to execute the enterprise sales strategy for Uphold’s API platform including go-to-market plans across strategic customer segments.

Support in active development of Sales Directors, and fostering a culture of focus, transparency, accountability and enterprise sales excellence.

Identify and prioritize high-impact enterprise opportunities for API adoption based on market trends, competitive intelligence, and client needs with quarterly review of priority targets.

Build and nurture long-term relationships with VP/C-level decision-makers at target enterprise accounts, positioning Uphold’s API platform as the solution to their digital asset, stablecoin and payment infrastructure needs.

Work cross functionally with Product and Engineering to ensure the Enterprise API roadmap meets clients needs based on feedback and clear prioritisation.

Drive revenue growth by closing enterprise-level deals directly and supporting the team where required, achieving or exceeding company-wide sales quotas.

Take ownership of individual pipeline management and ensure this is kept updated allowing for clear reporting, forecasting, and to provide insights and recommendations to SVP, Platform & Enterprise Partnerships on future strategy and growth.

Represent Uphold’s API platform as a thought leader,speaker and advocate at industry events, conferences, and client engagements, driving collaboration between our customers, partners and vendors to foster new sales and marketing opportunities.

Other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required or assigned by the line manager.

Occasional (up to 30% of the time) travel to business meetings required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience (MBA preferred).

8+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience within fintech, payments, digital assets, including experience leading and scaling a sales team.

Proficient in CRM and sales performance platform use (e.g., Pipedrive/Salesforce/ LinkedIn Sales Navigator) and API-based solution selling.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines where required.
