Warehouse Attendant - 1st Shift - Full Time

Description

As a Warehouse Receiving Attendant , you will be responsible for daily operations of the warehouse.

Schedule In this role, you will work day shift, Monday through Friday.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• •Unload trucks by forklift and pallet jack
• •Inspect incoming merchandise for count, specification, quality and quantity; report shortages or damage to the receiving supervisor
• •Stock or deliver received items to the appropriate area or department, check and sign for all incoming or outgoing items
• •Date and rotate all incoming perishable food items
• •Maintain a clean and orderly workstation
• •Assemble and deliver warehouse orders
• •Help maintain and assist the Receiving System (Stratton Warren)
• •Assist in all physical inventories
• •Report any safety or OSHA violation to supervisor

Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

Education

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Preferred

Work Experience

2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience Warehouse and/or receiving experience Preferred

Additional Requirements

• •Experience working in a similar warehouse setting Preferred
• •Certified forklift operator or ability to obtain certification Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• •Ability to operate a forklift (standard and automatic)
• •Ability to use an electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, and a four wheeled cart
• •Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
• •Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
• •Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
