Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Control, interface and manage Warehouse Automation Systems, keeping the overall system at peak operational levels. To support continuous material movement through PBV’s automated warehouse systems to support both internal and external customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• •Complete machine/system interface and operation.
• •“System Operator” level machine/system fault identification, troubleshooting, issue correction, and cleaning and maintenance.
• •Resolution of data/transactional errors or issues related to automation systems, software, or programs.
• •Record keeping/operator log as required.
• •Direct people/work areas as needed to maximize system efficiency and/or facilitate issue resolution.
• •Maintain clean and organized work area.
• •Ensure accuracy and quality of work.
• •Work in a safe and efficient manner.
• •Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• •High school diploma or GED.
• •Must be able to pass fork lift skills assessment and safely operate PBV Material Handling equipment.
• •Six (6) months of “sit down” fork lift operation experience preferred.
• •Must have one (1) year of automation/production machine operation outside of PBV warehouse automation or a minimum of three (3) months of proven in-house operation (not including training).
• •Computer/human machine interface skills.
• •Mechanical aptitude.
• •Physical stamina.
• •Manual dexterity.
• •Math, reading and writing skills.
• •Strong verbal and written communication skills.

This job is both repetitive and variable depending on the needs of the business.

Physical Functions

Constantly (67% -100%) required to bend and reach. Occasionally (0%-33%) required to walk, stand, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.

EQUIPMENT USED

Single and double fork lifts. Automation systems (to include, but not limited to the following): case conveyor, pallet conveyor, palletizers, stretch wrappers, computers, and human machine interfaces.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

None.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English.
