The Opportunity
The Warehouse Operations Lead is responsible for leading day-to-day warehouse operations and ensuring picking, packing, shipping, and other assigned workflows are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. This role provides hands-on leadership to warehouse associates, assigns and monitors daily work, resolves operational issues, and helps ensure service level agreements (SLAs), productivity goals, and priorities are met.
The Warehouse Operations Lead works closely with Coordinators and Supervisors to maintain workflow, support employee performance, and ensure operational standards and procedures are followed. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills, along with solid knowledge of warehouse processes, systems, and technology.
Responsibilities
Work with Operations Supervisors to ensure deliverables are being achieved
Work collaboratively with all team leads to support inventory counts, product moves, and management and maintain accurate supply and equipment levels
Communicates openly and in a timely fashion regarding any issues involving inventory, staff or facilities
Provide ongoing training and development if all warehouse associates
Finding creative solutions for day-to-day operational challenges
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring policies and procedures are followed
Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed by the supervisor or management to support the overall goals and operations of the warehouse.
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment
Ability to learn new technologies and custom proprietary softwares quickly
The desire and capacity to motivate coach and manage a growing team
An ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast paced changing environment
Detail Oriented, Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills
Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus)
Understanding of OSHA and regulatory compliance is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent (College degree preferred)
Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
Must be 18 years or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without restrictions
Able to stand and walk continuously during the entire length of the shift (8+ hours)
Must be bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
