Warehouse Operative (1400 - 2300, Mon to Fri)

Location: Alliance Automotive Logistics, Rotherham

Reports To: First Line Manager

Shift : 1400 - 2300, Monday to Friday

As a Warehouse Operative at our National Distribution Centre in Rotherham, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment while delivering high standards of accuracy and productivity.

This is a fast-paced dynamic warehouse environment and involves physically demanding tasks including lifting (up to 20kg) and standing / walking for extended periods of time (up to 7.5 hours depending on shift).

Key Responsibilities:

• •Receive, unload, and check incoming goods for quality and quantity
• •Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch in line with company procedures
• •Operate warehouse equipment safely, including pallet trucks and forklifts (training provided if required)
• •Carry out stock checks, cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records
• •Ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations
• •Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles efficiently
• •Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets
• •Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety issues promptly to management
• •Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and safety

Essential Skills and Experience:

• •Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred but not essential
• •Ability to work physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods
• •Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• •Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in order processing
• •Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends if required
• •Basic IT skills for data entry and scanning tasks
