Welder

Description

Demco is seeking experienced welders with at least one year of welding experience. We have current welder openings at our facility located in Spencer, IA . Prior MIG welding experience in multiple positions (vertical down, horizontal, etc.) and material thickness is required. Demco provides a competitive compensation & benefits package that takes into account your welding experience, skills, and expertise.

Starting wage based on experience.

Hours are Monday - Thursday 6am-4:30pm and Fridays as needed.

Primary Duties:

• •Able to set a welder according to job requirements
• •Able to read weld symbols
• •To follow safety procedures
• •To keep an accurate count on product
• •Able to read prints and weld according to print directions
• •Able to weld in multiple positions
• •Able to read and use measuring tools accurately
• •Able to use a hoist or crane and know the correct procedures to operate it
• •To complete jobs on a timely and consistent basis

Requirements

Qualifications/Experience:

• •Must have welding experience
• •Must be able to pass a welding test
• •Ability to read weld symbols
• •Ability to weld in multiple positions
• •Able to prioritize and sort jobs according to needs
• •Able to read and use measuring tools accurately
• •Be safety minded
• •Attention to detail and a high standard of quality
• •Must comply to ISO 9001 required policies
• •Must be a team player who can work effectively in a team environment
• •Good interpersonal, verbal communication and active listening skills
• •Willingness and ability to learn and perform other jobs
• •Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and push/pull 100 pounds occasionally
• •Forklift experience preferred, willingness to be trained required
