Welder Leader

Join Life Fitness/Hammer Strength in Owatonna, MN as a Welder Leader on our 3rd Shift. You'll help lead daily operations in the manual weld area by coordinating the team, tracking performance, and supporting safety and quality improvements.

Total Rewards & Pay- Full-time team members are eligible for:

Base pay: $25.50-$31.25 per hour , based on qualifications and experience

3rd shift differential: $2.00 per hour for hours worked on 3rd shift

What You'll Do

Coordinate daily production within the manual weld area

Build MIG-welded assemblies and support the team in meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards

Assign and deploy team members, manage cross-training, and allocate manpower

Provide hands-on coaching on welding techniques, safety practices, and quality standards

Lead small-group meetings to improve work practices

Coordinate with other department leads and supervisory management

Assist with performance reviews and corrective action as needed

Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Clear verbal and written communication skills

Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hands-on work

Strong working knowledge of welding

Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures, work instructions, and production documentation in English

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree, or high school diploma or equivalent

1+ year in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment

Microsoft Office experience

Experience with an MRP system

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Work around moving parts

Lift up to 35 lbs

Good hand/eye coordination

Noisy environment; hearing protection required in designated areas

Your base wage will be between $25.50 - $31.25 per hour and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual wage offer will be based on qualifications, experience, location, and other relevant factors. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in the Production Bonus Plan, which provides opportunities to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics. Bonus eligibility is subject to meeting certain production goals and other criteria as outlined.This position is eligible for a $2.00 per hour shift differential for hours worked on 3rd shift, in addition to the base hourly wage.
