Job Description Summary

The Launch Manager – Blades will lead manufacturing launch execution and industrialization readiness for blade products within Wind Manufacturing. This role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional launch activities, ensuring manufacturing readiness, supporting pilot and prototype builds, and driving successful product transfer, launch, and ramp-up in blade manufacturing plants.

Role Summary

This role will serve as the key manufacturing launch leader for blade programs from development through industrialization and ramp-up. The Launch Manager – Blades will work closely with Product Engineering, AME, Quality, Supply Chain, and plant teams to manage launch plans, manufacturability readiness, process validation, and risk mitigation to ensure on-time, on-budget, and capable production introduction.

Essential Responsibilities

• •Lead launch execution and industrialization readiness for blade manufacturing programs
• •Build and maintain integrated launch readiness plans with cross-functional stakeholders
• •Coordinate pilot builds, prototype builds, trial runs, and manufacturing learning cycles for blade products
• •Support manufacturability reviews and drive closure of manufacturing readiness gaps
• •Partner with blade AME leaders and Product Engineering to ensure process, tooling, equipment, training, and documentation readiness
• •Coordinate launch deliverables including PFMEA, control plans, work instructions, validation plans, and operator readiness
• •Support DFM / DFA activities to improve manufacturability and reduce launch risk
• •Track launch timing, risk, cost, and plant readiness; escalate issues and drive recovery plans as needed
• •Support product transfer, line readiness, plant ramp-up, and capacity expansion for new blade products or major design/process changes
• •Coordinate lessons learned, standard work, and launch governance practices across blade programs
• •Partner with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure robust execution of launch milestones
• •Foster a strong culture of safety, quality, execution discipline, and cross-functional collaboration

Required Qualifications

• •Ability to work 1st Shift (8am-4pm)
• •Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related technical discipline
• •Significant experience in product launch, NPI, industrialization, manufacturing engineering, or operations support in a complex industrial environment
• •Experience with pilot builds, launch readiness, manufacturing validation, and production ramp-up
• •Experience leading cross-functional projects or technical programs
• •Strong problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills

Desired Characteristics

• •Experience in blade manufacturing, composites manufacturing, or large-structure industrial product launches
• •Strong understanding of DFM/DFA, PFMEA, control plans, validation, and launch readiness reviews
• •Strong lean manufacturing and continuous improvement mindset
• •Ability to influence across functions and coordinate execution across multiple sites
• •Strong focus on milestone management and measurable launch outcomes

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $122,600.00 and $204,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
