Responsibilities

Administer and support enterprise Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security compliance.

Manage VMware vSphere infrastructure (ESXi, vCenter), including provisioning, configuration, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.

Perform OS and hypervisor patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation with minimal downtime and clear change documentation.

Monitor system health and performance; troubleshoot complex issues across compute, storage, networking, and guest OS layers.

Implement and maintain backup and recovery processes; regularly validate restore procedures and disaster recovery readiness.

Manage Active Directory services including user/group administration, GPOs, DNS/DHCP integration, and authentication troubleshooting.

Support virtualization operations such as VM builds, templates, snapshots, resource allocation, and cluster/HA/DRS configurations.

Collaborate with security and operations teams to enforce hardening standards, access controls, and audit requirements.

Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard procedures; mentor junior administrators as needed.

Participate in on-call support and lead incident/problem management efforts to reduce recurring issues through root-cause analysis.
