Workday FI Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Workday Finance Consultant with strong hands-on experience in Workday Financials implementation, configuration, support, and enhancements. The candidate should be able to work closely with business stakeholders, understand finance processes, and deliver effective Workday solutions.

Responsibilities

Configure, support, and enhance Workday Financials modules as per business requirements.

Work on areas such as Core Financials, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking & Settlement, Procurement, Expenses, and Financial Reporting.

Gather requirements from business users and translate them into Workday solutions.

Support end-to-end implementation, testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities.

Create and maintain business process configurations, security roles, calculated fields, reports, and integrations related to finance modules.

Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide timely resolutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, HR, Integration, Reporting, and Technical teams.

Prepare functional design documents, test scripts, user guides, and process documentation.

Support audits, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical requirements

7–10 years of overall experience with strong expertise in Workday Finance/Financials.

Hands-on experience in Workday configuration and business process setup.

Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes.

Experience in Workday reporting, calculated fields, security, and integrations will be an added advantage.

Good knowledge of implementation/support lifecycle, including requirement gathering, testing, and deployment.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage stakeholder expectations.
