Workshop Technician

Work Flexibility: Hybrid or Onsite

Position summary:

The Workshop Technician is responsible for the correct repair of customers and Stryker equipment. He/she will also utilize a wide array of knowledge, technical skills and problem-solving abilities to facilitate the fast turnaround of both the quality checking of loan equipment and the repair of items that have failed in the customer environment. He or she is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining the overall status of Stryker equipment.

Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description)

• •Disassemble and reassemble medical devices, replace components
• •Test and calibrate medical devices, sub-assemblies and instruments in accordance with approved practices and procedures
• •Ensure that all repairs are evaluated and completed in a timely manner as defined by the Team lead or Supervisor
• •Assist with booking in, quoting and repair of customer equipment
• •Unpacking, cleaning and packing medical devices
• •Ship domestic and international equipment
• •Preparing and verifying shipping documents and ensuring devices are stored in the correct location and in good condition
• •Maintain technical competency through regular and frequent attendance at appropriate courses of further vocational study and continuing professional development
• •Ensure that the department’s performance of services is compliant with the applicable quality system and regulations
• •Ensure efficient maintenance of the spare parts stock and will participate in the realization of the required annual inventories

Education & special trainings:

Fluent in English language is required

• •Bachelor/Master’s degree in engineering OR Maintenance and Technical Assistance school is preferable with experience in at least one of the following:
• •Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
• •Medical Physics
• •Service and maintenance of medical equipment

Qualifications & experience:

• •Experience with ERP systems, Excel, and Word
• •Solid troubleshooting and repair fundamentals
• •Demonstrated attention to detail
• •Demonstrated success in teamwork and cross-functional process development
• •Effective communication skills

Physical & mental requirements:

Exerting up to 25 kilos of force occasionally and/or up to 10 kilos of force constantly to move objects

• •Ability to think independently, use sound judgment, prioritize, make quick decisions and problem-solving
• •Ability to communicate effectively and work both independently and as part of a team on assignments
• •Ability to work independently in a team environment
• •May involve exposure to chemicals, solvents, and cleaning detergents
• •May require to wear personal protective equipment

• Italy Pay Ranges:
• •Italy : €32.300 - €53.900 EUR Annual
