What You'll Do

Responsible for obtaining radiographic images of diagnostic quality while adhering to departmental standards and protocols. Collaborates with other professionals to ensure effective, efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes.

Competently and independently performs all radiographic procedures.

Obtains all radiographic images while adhering to departmental standards.

Ensures that all procedures are properly ordered, verified and acknowledged.

Properly identifies patient before procedures.

Teaches and works with students.

Accurately collects improvement performance data as directed.

Actively participates in the development and implementation of process improvements.

Scans appropriate associated documents into PACS for radiologist interpretation.

Adheres to positioning guidelines and department expectations.

Removes or repositions objects that will make artifacts on the images.

Consistently provides reproducible quality images.

Informs PACS support of issues and corrects errors.

Collimates appropriately

Erases CR cassettes.

Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• Possesses problem solving skills of the type and at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
• Demonstrates good time management and organizational skills.

• Education and Experience
• Graduate of an accredited radiologic sciences program; Graduate of an accredited radiologic sciences program with a B.S. preferred.
• Clinical experience acquired through the completion of radiologic sciences program; Two years experience as a radiologic technologist in an acute care hospital or clinic setting preferred.
