Assignment Areas and Preferred Majors:

Our Engineering Capital Projects team focuses on improving the safe and reliable design and operation of the electrical transmission and distribution system.

As a co-op you will collaborate with and support senior engineering staff in managing the work of the engineering disciplines and in being the single point of contact between engineering and other teams on major projects related to Eversource Energy transmission and distribution systems. Assignments will be focused on one or more technical areas depending upon the company’s needs and the interests and capabilities of the student.

Focal areas include: High Voltage Electric substation, Engineering Project Management, and coordination of technical matters.

Students can expect a challenging experience in an energetic and supportive environment where, in addition to working with experienced engineers, they will work closely with other co-op students.

Scope of Work/Project (may include):

• •Work directly with a lead engineer or manager to coordinate engineering efforts on assigned projects.
• •Follow up with action items for engineering disciplines
• •Prepare technical and progress reports to advance and update on project.

Requirements:

• •Interest in energy delivery networks, heavy infrastructure and/or renewable energy
• •Adept in usage of MS Office suite
• •Enrolled in a B.S.E.E., M.S.E.E, or other energy related M.S. engineering program with an E.E. undergraduate degree preferred. Civil & Mechanical Engineering will be considered.
• •Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• •Ability to work independently and contribute ideas and solutions
• •Able to learn quickly and work enthusiastically in a fast-paced environment
