ACQUISITION PROGRAM SPECIALIST (ALTERNATE APC)

Summary

You will serve as an ACQUISITION PROGRAM SPECIALIST (ALTERNATE APC) in the ACQUISITION/PROCUREMENT DIV, MRO LOGISTICS DEPT of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

• •You will analyze contract fund status reports, reviews actual expenditures made by contractors, reviews report on actual performance requirements.
• •You will recommend required corrective actions for any deficiency and takes necessary follow-up actions to ensure they are corrected as indicated.
• •You will assist with market research to determine the best source of service or supply in industry to meet the project requirement while adhering to all Federal acquisition laws and policies.
• •You will track package progression at contracting agency to ensure package progresses to meet required award date.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating knowledge of the Government Purchase Card (GPC) program and its use in support of routine procurement actions. 2) Incorporating knowledge of contract and GPC pricing principles, as well as price and cost analysis techniques, sufficient to collect, review, and evaluate price and cost data for a range of procurement and acquisition activities. 3) Incorporating knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and regulations sufficient to identify, research, and analyze procurement issues and recommend solutions affecting local procedures; including working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Navy Marine Corps Acquisition Regulation Supplement (NMCARS). 4) Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with supervisors, managers, coworkers, and customers to gain cooperation and resolve procurement related issues, including matters involving differing viewpoints. 5) Exercising initiative in conducting market research and providing timely procurement support and recommendations to requirement owners.
