Duties

• •Serves as an Acquisition Project Analyst supporting various types of acquisitions of commercial supplies and services reporting to a Supervisory Acquisition Project Manager.
• •Assists in the planning, organizing, analyzing, integration, communication and execution of planning for each acquisition project to ensure all elements of planning are accomplished.
• •Serves as an acquisition project advisor translating customer requirements into proper acquisition language and format.
• •Responsible for providing assistance to customers in the analysis, evaluation, development and preparation of procurement packages for acquisition of supplies and services.
• •Responsible for developing and maintaining a plan of action and milestones (POA and M) and ensures all milestones and timelines are met as directed by the supervisor or team lead.

Qualifications

To qualify for an Acquisition Project Analyst your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: - Develop and initiates planning efforts for total acquisition planning. Incumbent responsibilities include developing a requirements definition or statement of need, conducting market research to determine availability of commercial competition. - Collaborates internally and externally regarding acquisition planning and procurement projects. - Conduct meetings with Acquisition Project Officers, managers and key stakeholders to provide project status and follow up. - Prepares, revises, and/or updates required program life cycle products and documents, including the coordination, review and archiving of all acquisition documentation. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
