Job Description
About the Department
The Wholesale Banking function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.
Overview of the Role
- Ensuring that all KYC activities comply with regulatory requirements covering non-individual customers, including those related to AML/CFT/CPF/Sanctions.
- Review / check CDD documents of “High Risk”, “Moderate Risk” customers. Ensuring that all KYC activities comply with regulatory requirements covering non-individual customers, including those related to AML/CFT/CPF/Sanctions.
- Ensure accurate risk ranking, Next Review Date (NRD) and CDD details, are updated in Detica before closure of OGR alerts
- Completing all other tasks of AFC Ops assigned by line manager
Job Responsibilities
To liaise with client and RM on requisite documentation for account ongoing review and to perform KYC as well as to enable CDD review to resolve documentation updating like legal documents.
To prepare KYC Checklist and CDD review by identifying and verifying the client’s identity and related parties, and performing name screening, to check for any adverse news and AML risk assessment as appropriate
Perform periodical evaluation of clients and coordinate the collection and/or compilation of data between RMs and local compliance according to established policies and procedures
Perform periodic KYC review which ensures the adequacy of client identification information obtained, including the beneficial owners, and that the information is kept up to date.
- Maintain accurate records of client information and documentation.
- Ensure compliance of all internal/ regulatory policies and regulations.
- Other task assigned by Line Manager
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Bachelor degree in banking, finance or equivalent in related fields
- Experience in KYC CDD AML for at least [1-3] years
- Proficient in MS office – Excel, Word, Power-point
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task, Proactive work under limited supervision and good team player.
- Good written & verbal business communication skills (writing and speaking) in English
