Position Summary
The Deal Intake g roup is comprised of attorneys who draft, review, negotiate and finalize engagement documentation for SRSA’s shareholder representative business . The Associate Attorney position requires experienced attorneys who demonstrate a strong and diverse set of skills that make them effective deal lawyers. Responsibilities include: (i) coordinating with other SRSA team members within and outside of the Deal Intake group as well as communicating and negotiating with external deal parties and their legal counsel; (ii) r eview ing , negotiat ing , and finaliz ing transaction documents ( suc as merger agreements, engagement letters, escrow and paying agent agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other related ancillary agreements) in accordance with our written policies and procedures; and (iii) generally, managing deals through closing to ensure a successful engagement experience for our clients. Other duties may also be assigned. Successful candidates will be self-motivated problem-solvers with a high attention to detail and a desire to take ownership over their own work product with a high degree of autonomy.
Location: This position is either hybrid out of our Denver, CO office or a fully remote position within the Continental United States.
If the candidate selected lives within a 20-mile radius of our downtown Denver office, they will be classified as a hybrid employee, and beginning September 8, 2026, working one day per week in the office is expected. Beginning February 1, 2027, two days per week in the office will be expected. If the candidate selected lives outside a 20-mile radius of the Denver office, they will be classified as a fully remote employee, and in-person onsite visits to the Denver headquarters will be required on average three times per year.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $120k and $125K, depending on experience level.
Primary Responsibilities
Primary responsibility for a pro rata share of Deals.
Coordinate with the Deal team (BD Reps, RMs, and RAs) and facilitate escalations of compromises or unique responsibilities on Deals.
Interface with Deal clients and their counsel.
Review, negotiate, and finalize Deal documents (acquisition agreements, SRS engagement letters, escrow agreements, paying agent agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other related transactional agreements).
Maintain expertise in M&A market terms and complete knowledge of SRS Acquiom’s approved procedures and guidance for Deal documents.
Assist with maintaining and updating intake procedures and training new intake attorneys.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
J.D. from a nationally ranked, accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
Licensed to practice law in at least one state.
Prefer 1-2 years of legal work experience post-law school.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, dynamic projects/Deals.
Ability to meet demanding deadlines and solve problems when unexpected issues arise.
Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
Ability to quickly and carefully review and understand complex agreements.

Physical Requirements/Special Demands
If fully remote, In-person visits to the Denver headquarters are required, on average three times per year.
