Requirements:

Experience: 3+ years of in purchasing, buying and/or procurement; CPG and/or packaging/indirect is preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced in Microsoft Excel, Experienced with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) and familiarity to ERP/Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related is preferred.

Job Description:

At GT’s Living Foods, our Buyers play a critical role in holding suppliers accountable to the accepted purchasing methods, policies, and procedures of the Company. The Buyer is responsible for supporting the procurement function of a commodity from intent to purchase through delivery of commodity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Support procurement activities for assigned commodities from requisition through delivery.

Analyze market trends, pricing, and delivery conditions to assess current and future material availability.

Generate market analysis reports to support purchasing decisions and sourcing strategies.

Evaluate vendor quotations for quality, cost, delivery, and overall value.

Assist with supplier selection and sourcing activities.

Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure high-quality products and services at competitive prices.

Uphold company standards for quality, ethics, compliance, and professional conduct in all procurement activities.

Prepare, issue, and review purchase orders, change notices, bids, vendor agreements, and order claims.

Verify procurement documents for legal compliance, pricing accuracy, and adherence to company specifications and policies.

Track and coordinate the timely delivery of purchased materials and commodities.

Support vendor performance management and continuous improvement initiatives

.Collaborate with internal departments to ensure procurement requirements are met.

Work closely with Accounts Payable to investigate and resolve supplier invoice discrepancies.

Maintain accurate purchasing records and procurement documentation.

Assist in ensuring uninterrupted supply of materials needed to support business operations.

Proficient negotiation skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Analytic skills with the ability to independently utilize various data points to drive decisions

Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment and set, meet, and manage competing deadlines

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize department and company objectives

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and manage supplier relationships

Job Details:

Work Hours: Business hours.

Work Attire: Use good judgement, keeping in mind the nature of their work, their own safety and the safety of others, and their need to interact with the public.

Pay Range: $73,000 to $85,000
