The Opportunity

As the Brand & Commercial Partnership Manager , drive commercial partnerships across APAC to strengthen market positioning, accelerate growth, and unlock new commercial opportunities. Lead the development of a differentiated brand narrative and ecosystem of partners (e.g., distributors, strategic allies, institutions) to expand reach, enhance customer engagement, and support long-term sustainable growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify, evaluate, and cultivate strategic partnerships that accelerate commercial growth, including B2B partners and key ecosystem collaborators.
  • Develop and manage partnership frameworks encompassing demand generation, partner outreach, stakeholder engagement, and governance.
  • Partner with country teams to successfully activate and scale collaborations in-market, ensuring alignment with commercial priorities and growth objectives.
  • Lead partnership and alliance discussions, working closely with commercial and legal teams to structure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Monitor partnership performance, optimize the partner ecosystem, and continuously enhance the value and impact delivered through strategic collaboration.
  • Develop partnership-led growth models to expand reach into new segments, channels, or geographies.
  • Identify opportunities for innovative go-to-market approaches leveraging external partners.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as local sourcing, market access, and portfolio expansion.
  • Drive cross-market initiatives to scale successful partnership models across APAC.
  • Define and drive the regional brand strategy across APAC, ensuring clear, compelling, and differentiated positioning across key product portfolios.
  • Develop and implement consistent messaging frameworks aligned with customer segments, market needs, and competitive positioning.
  • Partner with regional franchise product marketing and in-country marketing teams to ensure brand strategy is effectively translated into campaigns, materials, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Strengthen Abbott’s leadership positioning in Infectious Disease through thought leadership, disease awareness, and strategic storytelling.
  • Ensure consistency of brand execution across markets while allowing for local customization where required.
  • Lead development of regional integrated campaigns (in collaboration with marketing communication and in-market execution teams) that reinforce brand positioning and drive demand.
  • Ensure campaigns are aligned with strategic priorities and effectively translated into local execution.
  • Monitor campaign effectiveness and optimize based on performance insights and market feedback
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive dynamics to refine brand positioning and partnership strategies.
  • Identify emerging opportunities for collaboration based on market evolution, policy shifts, or ecosystem changes.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership on growth opportunities enabled through brand and partnerships.
  • Work closely with In-market team, Market Access, Commercial Excellence, and PMO teams to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
  • Align with regional stakeholders on priorities, timelines, and deliverables to ensure coordinated execution.
  • Drive strong stakeholder engagement across markets, building trust and influence without direct authority.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, commercial, or business development roles within healthcare, diagnostics, medical devices, or related life sciences industries.
  • Demonstrated success in brand strategy, strategic partnerships, key account management, or business development.
  • Experience working across APAC markets and managing multi-country initiatives.
  • Proven track record of identifying, developing and executing growth initiatives.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and growth orientation.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing capabilities across complex setup.
  • Proven experience in partnership development, alliance management, and negotiation.
  • Strong communication, presentation, storytelling skills, with ability to influence diverse audience.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to translate insights into action.
  • Ability to balance long-term strategy with short-term results delivery.
