Job Description

Purpose of the role

To support the bank's decision-making processes by providing timely, accurate, and insightful information through designing, developing, and maintaining management reports, compelling visualisations and dashboards that effectively communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), data insights and trends across various business units.

Accountabilities

Design and development of comprehensive reports and dashboards utilisng best practices in data visualisation principles and design aesthetics to ensure clarity, accuracy, and accessibility.

Design, development and implementation of automated report generation processes and visualisation methodologies for improved efficiency and timeliness.

Identification and analysis of business requirements to define report content and format.

Maintenance and updating of existing reports and dashboards to reflect changing business needs, including co-ordination of reporting template releases and related administrative tasks.

Development of robust processes & controls for collating input data, performing exploratory data analysis & data cleansing and seeking signoffs as required.

Engagement with stakeholders as needed to ensure up to date data is incorporated into reporting and visualisations.

To be successful as a "Business Analyst", you should have experience with:

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

  • Senior data-platform leader with proven experience defining strategy, architecture and delivery roadmaps for enterprise analytics platforms•
  • Strong experience building cloud-native lakehouse and data-warehouse solutions using AWS, Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Prior hands-on expertise, with deep knowledge of Kafka, Spark/PySpark, ETL/ELT, APIs and batch/real-time data pipelines.
  • Strong background in data modelling and governed data products, including conceptual, logical and physical models, MDM, reference data, data quality, lineage and reconciliation.
  • Functional expertise in liquidity, payments, treasury and cash management, with the ability to translate business and regulatory needs into a trusted liquidity analytics platform.
  • Proven leadership across business, architecture, engineering, risk, operations and data-governance teams, with strong senior-stakeholder influence.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • Experience delivering liquidity, treasury analytics, payments or cash-management platforms within global financial services.
  • Knowledge of Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Snowflake capabilities, relevant AWS data services and medallion or data-mesh architectures.
  • Experience with DataOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, observability, and legacy-platform migration.
  • Understanding of advanced analytics, AI/ML, forecasting, anomaly detection and scenario analysis for liquidity use cases.
  • Relevant cloud, Databricks, Snowflake, data-architecture or governance certifications.
