  • Job Description:
  • The Senior Business Control Specialist is responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks across the Card Payment Network Acquiring business. This role partners with business, operations, technology, risk, and compliance stakeholders to strengthen controls, drive issue remediation, support complex business initiatives, and ensure adherence to applicable regulatory, policy, and Card Payment Network requirements.

The candidate will leverage analytics, technology, and approved AI capabilities to identify trends, solve complex problems, influence outcomes, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Daily functions include but are not limited to:

Manage and strengthen business controls across the Card Payment Network Acquiring organization.

Identify, assess, and remediate operational, compliance, and reputational risks.

Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

Partner across functions to implement control enhancements and process improvements.

Support governance activities through reporting, analytics, and risk assessments.

Leverage technology, automation, and AI to improve efficiency and risk management.

Influence stakeholders and drive resolution of complex risk and control issues.

Required Skill s:

Adaptability & Prioritization – Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Business Acumen & Risk Management – Understanding of business processes, operational risk, controls, and data-driven decision making.

Communication & Influence – Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex issues effectively.

Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving – Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.

Relationship Management & Collaboration – Builds strong partnerships across organizations to drive alignment, issue resolution, and business outcomes.

Technology & Innovation – Leverages analytics, automation, and approved AI capabilities to improve decision-making, efficiency, and control effectiveness.

Process Improvement & Execution – Identifies opportunities to enhance controls, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement.

Compliance & Control Management – Supports effective risk management, governance, and adherence to regulatory, policy, and Card Payment Network requirements.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Pay range

$29.11 - $40.61 hourly pay, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

This role is compensated with a base salary and is not incentive eligible.
