Duties

• •Serve as a senior functional advisor to leadership, establishing knowledge management (KM) and information management (IM) policy, monitoring trends, and delivering data-driven recommendations to drive organizational goals.
• •Direct in-depth studies across complex, interrelated functions to identify operational constraints, improve methodologies, and standardize enterprise business rules.
• •Formulate long-range KM strategies, prioritize resource allocation, and conduct cost-benefit analyses to enhance end-to-end operational efficiency.
• •Serve as a subject matter authority on KM/IM doctrine and organizational policy; develop guidance, interpret regulatory intent, and resolve complex or precedent-setting issues.
• •Partner with the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Combat Support Agencies, and federal partners to resolve issues and enforce consistent information policies.
• •Evaluate systems and decision support tools to identify business process automation opportunities, aligning new technologies with evolving organizational needs.
• •Represent functional stakeholders on KM and governance boards to evaluate proposed systems and workflow modifications against overarching strategic objectives.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Business Process Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Serve as senior advisor to leadership, leveraging information and knowledge management best practices, data analytics, and strategic planning to resolve complex challenges and drive organizational effectiveness. Act as the primary authority on knowledge management and compliance; formulate standard guidance, interpret complex regulations, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure consistent, enterprise-wide execution. Define business and functional requirements to drive process automation, representing stakeholder interests on governance boards to align technological and operational changes with strategic objectives. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
