Carpenter Journeyman

Amentum is looking for a Carpenter Journeyman to join our team in Springfield, VA ! The Carpenter II performs carpentry duties necessary to maintain building structures and finishes

in good repair.

Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance

Duties and Responsibilities:

• •Repairing or installing new walls, partitions, floor tiles, ceiling tiles, and systems furniture.
• •Also included are drywall patching, painting, and adjusting and installing door hardware.
• •Work involves most of the following: planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments and making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work; and selecting materials necessary for the work.
• •Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Experience and Qualifications:

• •High School diploma or equivalent.
• •Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
• •Minimum of fifteen years of carpentry experience required.
• •Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
• •Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred
