JOB TITLE: CNA SCHEDULER

DEPARTMENT: ADMINISTRATIVE

FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF NURSING

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living in order to

promote resident independence and dignity. Also responsible for facility scheduling.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• •Bathe, shower, shampoo, shave, comb hair, dress appropriately, and perform nail care of any residents assigned
• •Follow resident assignment schedule as made out by the charge nurse
• •Lift, move, and transfer residents as required
• •Answer call lights in a timely manner
• •Assist or feed residents
• •Keep resident clean and dry, toileting or providing incontinent care
• •Provide supportive, protective, and safe environments for residents
• •Monthly schedule development based on facility budgeted PPD
• •Complete and post daily schedule
• •Complete daily staffing sheet postings and maintain one year of postings
• •Work to replace staff for Vacation/sick requests, call in's, absenteeism
• •Track attendance of clinical team members
• •Work on the floor as a CNA or CMA as needed
• •Participate in on call schedule as assigned
• •Understand and adhere to the guidelines of “Residents Rights” and assure resident safety
• •Other duties as assigned

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• •High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• •Current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas
• •Must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of Texas and Misconduct Registry
• •Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
• •Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents

Preferred:

• •Experience in long term care/skilled nursing
• •CPR Certified

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The ability to safely perform movements such as pushing,

pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable

accommodations

WORK SCHEDULE: As assigned; including some weekends evenings and holidays

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Clinical
