CNC Machinist

Maxcess is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our Oklahoma City team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Efficiently set up and operate machines for production runs of products.

Ensure the proper tooling and computer programs are installed for jobs.

Adjust machine feed & speed, change tooling, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction.

Monitor machine during production run and adjust programs as necessary.

Calculate machine speed and feed ratio and the size and position of cuts.

Use precision measuring instruments and hand tools to verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications.

Prioritize work according to production schedule.

Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.

Wear proper PPE while in the shop's work areas.

Manage waste responsibly (utilize proper containers, participate in the recycling programs)

Promote energy conservation.

Other duties as assigned to meet departmental and Company objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

CNC experience required.

Requires the use of shop mathematics together with engineering drawings, specifications, and various types of precision measuring instruments.

Requires the use of judgement to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processes within the limitations of established or standard methods and procedures.

Constant alertness and continuous mental and visual attention are required to monitor machining process.

Ability to communicate and work well with others.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of one to three years of specific mill experience is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift 35 lbs. on occasion.

Ability to stand for extended periods.
