Computer Science Engineering Intern

As a Computer Science Engineering Intern at Cleveland-Cliffs, the projects assigned will vary based on the intern’s education level and plant location, but will generally reflect the duties outlined below.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• •Develop and enhance software tools that support manufacturing and automation processes.
• •Maintain, organize, and improve existing code libraries and applications.
• •Assist with HMI development, upgrades, and rebuild projects.
• •Support automation and process control initiatives through programming and system integration activities.
• •Create and update technical procedures, work instructions, and supporting documentation.
• •Participate in troubleshooting, testing, and validation of software and automation systems.
• •Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• •Document project results and provide recommendations for future enhancements.
• •Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• •Enrollment in Bachelor of Science program in the field of Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or other related technical degree
• •Completion of sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027
