What You Will Do :

The Energy Providers practice helps utilities and energy companies lead the way in an industry undergoing rapid transformation. As companies respond to the requirements for rapidly growing demand, increased reliability, and improved resilience, they need to balance initiatives against energy costs and customer affordability. As AI-driven data centers surge in energy demand and new policies reshape the landscape, utilities face a complex and evolving environment. Our practice empowers clients to embrace new business models and leverage emerging technologies to upgrade operations, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance, all while enhancing resilience and capturing market opportunities.

As a Consulting Analyst, you will work alongside experienced professionals delivering consulting projects, both at client sites and within Guidehouse offices to deliver important engagements that drive tangible outcomes for our clients. A key function of this role is to create and present high-quality deliverables that support essential project workstreams. You will engage in research, analysis, documentation, and client-facing activities as part of a collaborative delivery team. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to drive impactful solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities may include :

Contributing to innovative problem-solving to drive outcomes for clients, leveraging cutting-edge methodologies and tools.

Conducting comprehensive research and analysis to support project recommendations and solutions, inform strategic decisions, and develop actionable insights. This may include data collection, market research and analysis, benchmarking, and economic modeling.

Applying problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify issues, develop solutions, and make informed decisions that align with client goals.

Preparing detailed, high-quality reports, presentations, and other documentation for client deliverables to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and senior team members.

Effectively and regularly engaging with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and communicate solutions, fostering strong relationships.

Working collaboratively with team members, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive team environment that encourages growth and innovation.

Pursuing ongoing professional development, including attending training sessions, obtaining relevant certifications, and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.

Assisting in project management tasks, such as scheduling meetings, tracking project timelines, and ensuring deliverables are completed on time.

What You Will Need :

Applicants must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident

Minimum Degree Status: Undergraduate Degree (Must still be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program through Fall 2026 and graduate by Summer 2027)

Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment

Curiosity about the energy industry and a desire to make a tangible impact through consulting work

Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, prioritize and plan work activities while meeting respective deadlines

Ability to travel

Ability to work onsite in a core Guidehouse Office or Client Office location

What Would Be Nice To Have :

Degree/Majors in Engineering, Data Science, Business, Economics, or a related discipline

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

Excellent at visualizing data, synthesizing insights, and storytelling with data

  • The annual salary range for this position is $51,000.00-$85,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
