How will you value-add?
Your role as a Senior Manager will be the following but not limited to:
Advising multinational clients on complex cross-border restructurings, business transformations, and international tax matters, combining technical tax knowledge with legal analysis and strategic judgement;
Developing and defending tax positions around areas of legal uncertainty, including the interpretation of tax legislation and treaties;
Representing clients in engagements with tax authorities and government agencies including tax queries, tax audits, ruling applications and dispute resolution processes;
Leading controversy projects by identifying technical, evidentiary, and procedural risks, and developing strategies to achieve robust and sustainable outcomes;
Supporting clients in obtaining tax certainty through proactive engagements with tax authorities and government agencies including tax rulings, mutual agreement procedures, and incentive negotiations;
Acting as a trusted advisor to senior tax, legal, finance, and business stakeholders on matters involving significant financial exposure, tax audit scrutiny, or strategic importance.
Playing an active role in identifying and winning new business opportunities;
Actively participating in the coaching, mentoring and management of our team of young professionals while fostering strong analytical, advocacy, and client management capabilities;
Collaborating with other areas of the firms (such as audit and transaction services) as well as government bodies (such as the Economic Development Board and Enterprise Singapore).
About you
Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore;
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Singapore and International corporate tax;
Possessing an accreditation by SCTP will be an added advantage;
Strong in written and spoken English;
Communicates with impact, knowledge and strong understanding of client’s needs;
Ability and willingness to keep up-to-date technically and learn digital skills to deliver effectively to clients.
