Job Description

Responsibilities

We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our culinary team!

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment for the hospital cafeteria. Sanitize all pots, pans, utensils, and equipment in a timely manner. Support stocking and inventories by shelving and organizing delivered food and items.

Responsibilities

Maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and storeroom

Put away deliveries, label and date products, and break down boxes

Stock and monitor towels and soap dispensers throughout the shift

Clean and return all kitchen equipment and serving ware in a timely manner

Set up and maintain a 3-compartment sink and dish machine

Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors and high-traffic areas

Monitor and empty trash cans

Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures

Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old

Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment

Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform

Physical Requirements

Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously, pushing dish racks, frequent stooping, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds

Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job

Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare, dishwasher, housekeeping, janitor, custodian)
