• Position Overview
• As a Dental Hygienist, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive dental care under the direct supervision of a licensed Dentist—as per New York State guidelines. You’ll be a valued clinical professional and a trusted educator to our patients, helping them achieve and maintain optimal oral health.

What You’ll Do

Clinical Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough reviews of medical/dental histories, including medications, allergies, and periodontal status

Take and process digital dental radiographs (X-rays)

Prepare patients for treatment with professionalism and care

Perform oral cancer screenings and full periodontal assessments using both manual and visual techniques

Apply fluoride and other preventive agents to arrest decay

Provide occlusal sealants and complete routine prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, and polishing

Document all findings and treatments in the patient’s electronic dental chart

Assist in the diagnosis and detection of oral conditions such as caries, periodontal disease, and TMJ disorders

Patient Education & Care:

Deliver individualized oral hygiene instruction

Support patients in developing personalized oral health goals (brushing, flossing, nutrition)

Promote long-term dental health through education and compassionate communication

Infection Control & Safety:

Follow rigorous infection control protocols

Ensure sterilization and proper storage of instruments

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program

NYS Dental Hygienist License

Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred

BCLS Certification

Completed NYS Infection Control Training

Preferred Skills:

Proficient with electronic dental records and digital imaging

Bilingual in English and Spanish or French a plus

Exceptional communication, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care

Strong team player with a professional and warm demeanor
