2nd Shift Diesel Mechanic- Haltom City, TX 1pm start time Mon-Fri. Every other Sat.

Join Waste Connections as a Diesel Mechanic and keep our fleet running strong! We’re hiring experienced techs to perform maintenance and repairs on garbage trucks—covering everything from hydraulics and electrical to engine systems. This is a hands-on, outdoor role for someone who takes pride in their work and values safety.

• 💰 What We Offer:
• •$24–$34/hour based on experience
• •$150/month tool allowance + annual boot stipend

• •Consistent hours: 50–60 hrs/week, Sun–Thur. + some Saturdays

• 🛠️ What You’ll Do:
• •Perform preventative maintenance & inspections
• •Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues
• •Handle on-road breakdowns and emergency calls
• •Keep shop clean, organized, and safe
• •Accurately document all work performed

• ✅ Requirements:
• •3+ years of diesel or heavy truck experience
• •Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• •ASE cert and CDL (A or B) a strong plus
• •Reliable, hard-working, and safety-minded
• •Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
