Director, Reinsurance Accounting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Reinsurance Accounting based in the United States.

• This is a strategic and hands-on leadership opportunity overseeing the financial operations of complex reinsurance programs.
• You will lead the end-to-end accounting, reporting, and analysis of reinsurance arrangements across a property and casualty insurance environment.
• The role covers structures including excess of loss, quota share, facultative, stop loss, and retrocession agreements.
• You will manage a specialized accounting team while partnering closely with actuarial, underwriting, legal, finance, and external reinsurance stakeholders.
• Your expertise will help strengthen financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and operational efficiency.
• You will also drive process improvements and automation initiatives that enhance the quality and scalability of reinsurance operations.
• Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, you will have broad visibility and an important role in supporting financial and business objectives.
