Woodard & Curran is seeking a highly accomplished Drinking Water Technical Manager to join our growing Water Team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer with 15+ years of drinking water infrastructure design experience who is looking to leverage their technical expertise, influence major infrastructure investments, and help shape the future of our drinking water practice.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical leader and advisor to municipal clients, overseeing the planning, design, and delivery of critical drinking water projects throughout the Northeast. Projects may include water treatment facilities, transmission and distribution systems, storage infrastructure, resiliency planning, regulatory compliance initiatives, and capital improvement programs.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a technically respected and client-focused Professional Engineer who is passionate about solving complex drinking water challenges and mentoring the next generation of engineering professionals.

The ideal candidate will bring significant expertise in:

Drinking water treatment planning and design

Water transmission and distribution systems

Pump stations and storage facilities

Master planning and asset management

Water quality and regulatory compliance

Technical leadership and quality management

Client relationship management

Business development and proposal support

As a Technical Manager, you will collaborate with project managers, engineers, scientists, and design professionals to deliver innovative drinking water solutions throughout the region. You will serve as a senior technical resource, mentor emerging staff, and help drive strategic growth initiatives within the drinking water practice.

This role is ideal for a seasoned engineer who enjoys being the technical expert, building strong client relationships, mentoring staff, and helping grow a successful and sustainable water practice.

Location: Remote - Northeastern United States

We recognize that top drinking water talent can make an impact from anywhere. This position is open to remote candidates located throughout the Northeastern United States who can effectively support clients and projects across New England and the Mid-Atlantic region.

Candidates located near one of our regional offices will have opportunities for in-person collaboration and engagement with local teams. Office locations include:

Travel

The ideal candidate will have the flexibility and willingness to travel to client sites, project meetings, regional offices, and industry events throughout Northeastern US region.
