Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design in construction industry, particularly in using Revit and AutoCAD Electrical. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing electrical systems for various construction projects, preparing detailed shop drawings for permits and construction, and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Electrical Design Process: Design and develop electrical systems for construction projects, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems, with a focus on efficiency and innovation.
- Prepare Shop Drawings: Produce detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD Electrical, ensuring they are ready for permits and construction.
- Perform Technical Calculations: Conduct load calculations, short circuit analysis, and coordination studies to ensure optimal system performance.
- Review and Interpret Designs: Analyze electrical designs, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with project managers, consultants, and other disciplines to ensure all project requirements are met and integrated seamlessly.
- Conduct Site Inspections: Visit construction sites to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.
- Mentor and Guide Team Members: Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Ensure Project Success: Manage projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
- Stay Current: Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance design processes and project outcomes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) Designation is required.
- Minimum of 5 Years of Experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on construction projects.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD electrical for electrical design is essential.
- In-depth Knowledge of Electrical Codes, Standards, and Regulations relevant to construction projects.
- Strong Problem-Solving Skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills to effectively collaborate and lead within a team.
- Ability to Work Independently and take initiative in leading the electrical group.
