Position Purpose

The purpose of this position is to provide specialist automation and electrical engineering support across the site, applying the technical skills and judgement required to deliver the objectives of the Engineering team.

The role focuses on optimising PLC-driven machinery, robotics, and electrical and software-related systems to improve reliability, performance and efficiency. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Electrical Technician provides hands-on technical delivery in support of departmental and site goals.

Key Accountabilities & Deliverables

Engineering Activities

Ensure maintenance work is completed to plan, specification and required manufacturing standards.

Provide technical expertise and practical support to the wider team.

Minimise production downtime through timely preventative maintenance and/or effective corrective maintenance as required .

Maintain effective communication with team members, sharing information on issues identified and remedies implemented on the production line.

Lead and support automation and software robotics improvements across identified plant opportunities.

Support the delivery and coordination of engineering projects relating to line improvements and new business opportunities.
