Electrical Technician - JLL

As an Electrical Technician at JLL you will be responsible of demonstrate knowledge of electrical, instrumentation and control building equipment and systems required to operate and maintain a large pharmaceutical facility. As well as diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, upgrade and install all electrical/instrumentation equipment and systems.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Demonstrate the ability to anticipate potential problems and take appropriate actions to maximize the condition of facility structures and assets.

Plan and layout work details in the assembly, installation, testing, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical apparatus, control equipment and wiring used in industrial light and power distribution systems including equipment such as generating equipment, panels, automatic switches, variable frequency drives, complex circuit breaking units, transformer units, substations, and alarms.

Troubleshoot and correct faulty wiring or electrical difficulties in motors, and other equipment. Diagnoses, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, upgrade and install all electrical/instrumentation equipment and systems.

Read and interpret blue prints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings

Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine the best approach to completion of assignments in a safe, environmentally compliant manner.

Safely use a large variety of hand and shop power tools.

Complete all documentation by required deadlines. Document accurately and clearly in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) all work actually performed and hours actually required. Complete all other work associated with the assignment working cooperatively with other trades. Perform all incidental /associated work required to complete the job assignment. Work with minimal supervision.

Maintain work area and equipment in a safe, efficient and clean operating condition.

Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations.

Assist in performing other duties, including work of other trades as required.

Required Qualifications:

• •High school diploma or state equivalent
• •+2 of electrical trade schooling or equivalent experience in commercial, industrial or residential background.

• •Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes
• •Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports
• •Good verbal and written communications skills.
• •Skilled and physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle
• •Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc.
• •Able to work on roofs of buildings
• •Subject to call 24 hours per day and required to work in all weather conditions

Location:

East Syracuse, NY - Onsite

Work Shift:

Monday to Friday 7:15am to 4:00pm + OT available.

Salary/ Comp:

$25 -$28 per hour + x1.5 OT Compensation

Expected compensation for this position:

• 52,000.00 – 58,240.00 USD per year
• Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
