Electronics Technician

Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is is located at Letterkenny Army Depot, Directorate of Strategic Management, Production engineering Division.

Duties

• •Provide subject matter expertise on Test Program Set (TPS) development to ensure automated testing readiness.
• •Perform analytical techniques on new workloads to determine optimal Automated Test Equipment (ATE) solutions.
• •Manage diverse testing requirements for weapon systems and components by applying innovative testing philosophies.
• •Serve as the primary point of contact for ATE projects to ensure progress toward basic project objectives.
• •Analyze incomplete or conflicting data to support the formulation of complex project plans.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Applying technical knowledge of electronics principles to assist in the development, modification, and testing of Test Program Sets (TPS) for communications and electronics systems; 2) Performing analysis of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and associated components by reviewing technical documentation, schematics, and interface requirements to troubleshoot and resolve testability problems; and 3) Providing technical support and recommendations on automated testing procedures, interpreting policies, and coordinating with team members to ensure test program objectives are met. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
