Baystate Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) to join our Emergency Department team at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts . Our Emergency Department team provides care to a diverse adult patient population, working closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality care.

Emergency Department Technician Responsibilities Include:

· Patient Care & Monitoring: Provides safe, compassionate, age-appropriate care; obtains and documents vital signs, intake/output, specimens, and other patient measurements; promptly reports changes in condition.

· Clinical Procedures & Testing: Performs phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, specimen collection, dressing changes, and other approved clinical procedures in accordance with BMC policies.

· Treatment & Provider Support: Assists RNs and providers with patient care, examinations, treatments, procedures, and emergency situations within the assigned scope of practice.

· Communication & Documentation: Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team and accurately documents patient care, observations, treatments, and testing in the EMR.

· Patient Safety & ED Operations: Maintains a safe, clean patient environment and collaborates with the healthcare team to support patient safety, teamwork, and efficient Emergency Department patient flow.

Schedule Details

Job Type: Part-time, 24 hours per week

Shift: Night 7pm-7:30am

Schedule: 12-hour shifts

Weekend Requirement: Every other Friday and Saturday

Holiday Requirements: Every other Holiday

Compensation

Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

$19.29 - $22.16 - $25.87
