Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking an End-User Systems Engineer to join our newly formed Digital Workplace Services team. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert for our End-User Computing (EUC) environment, overseeing the core infrastructure that powers how our employees work.

Working alongside IT Helpdesk and other End-User Engineers, you will ensure a seamless, modern, and highly available digital workspace. You will collaborate with a core team to manage and modernize our Workspace ONE, IGEL, Active Directory, and Google Workspace platforms. This is a dynamic role that blends daily operational excellence with big-picture architecture and continuous improvement.

  • Workspace Engineering: Collaborate on the administration, architecture, and maintenance of Workspace ONE (WS1) and IGEL OS infrastructure, ensuring reliable and scalable delivery of virtual desktops and applications.
  • Endpoint & Image Management: Build, maintain, and continuously optimize standard endpoint images for both physical and virtual devices. Manage device provisioning, patching, and the overall lifecycle of enterprise hardware and thin clients.
  • Project & Initiative Delivery: Participate in platform upgrades, migrations, and continuous improvement initiatives using a hybrid Agile-Waterfall methodology, balancing structured enterprise planning with iterative execution.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration & Escalation: Act as an escalation point for the IT Helpdesk for applicable incident tickets. Partner closely with Infrastructure and Security teams to deliver a unified, frictionless digital experience for all employees.
  • Application Delivery & Automation: Package, deploy, and maintain applications across WS1 and virtualized platforms. Leverage scripting (PowerShell) to automate routine manual tasks, deployments, and remediation workflows.
  • Performance & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system health, login times, and resource utilization. Resolve complex performance, access, and stability issues impacting the end-user environment.
  • Security & Compliance: Apply strict endpoint security standards—including OS patching, device hardening, and access controls—in alignment with Security team policies.
  • Identity & Access Integration: Support authentication and secure access for workspace platforms by co-managing Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), and Okta integrations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in IT operations, systems engineering, or enterprise end-user computing environments
  • Hands-on experience administering unified endpoint management (UEM) or enterprise collaboration suites (e.g., Google Workspace)
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy (GPO)
  • Experience deploying and supporting enterprise applications at scale
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across endpoints, virtual environments, and network/access issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience administering Workspace ONE (WS1), IGEL OS, Google Workspace, and WebEx.
  • Experience building and maintaining Windows endpoint images, including complex patching and system configuration
  • Familiarity with Okta or similar modern identity/SSO providers
  • Scripting and automation experience (PowerShell or similar)
  • Understanding of modern zero-trust endpoint security practices
  • Experience working in large-scale manufacturing or hybrid enterprise IT environments
  • Experience using ITSM ticketing systems (e.g., Freshservice, ServiceNow) for managing incidents and service requests.
  • Experience collaborating within a team utilizing project tracking tools like Jira.
  • Proven experience leveraging AI tools as a force multiplier for delivering quality research, building standard processes, and automating workflows.

Benefits

  • Competitive weekly pay
  • Profit-sharing cash bonus program
  • 401(k) with matching contributions
  • 25 days Paid Time Off (for vacation, holidays, sick time, personal time, etc.)
  • Medical insurance, including health, dental, vision and prescription drug plan
  • Supplemental plans, including life insurance

  • Health Center and Pharmacy
  • Mental wellness counseling (on-site in TN, virtual elsewhere)
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Exercise and recreation facility
