The Engineering Training team provides end-to-end support for engineering applications and processes that enable efficient design, detailing, manufacturing integration, and project execution across BlueScope. The team supports critical engineering systems including PIM, POE, Vision, Atlas, nVision, Tekla, and other engineering and manufacturing applications.

The Engineering Application Solutions Specialist provides support for engineering applications and processes. This role assists users with application issues, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and training activities while developing technical expertise in engineering systems and workflows. The Specialist analyzes technical challenges, coordinates solutions across stakeholders, and contributes to testing, process improvement, documentation, training, and project initiatives that drive engineering efficiency and standardization.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for engineering applications by responding to incidents, service requests, and user questions.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and assist with identifying root causes and solutions.
  • Support system testing, upgrades, releases, and defect validation activities.
  • Create and maintain user guides, procedures, training materials, and support documentation.
  • Participate in training initiatives and help users understand application functionality and best practices.
  • Assist with process improvement and application enhancement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of support issues, resolutions, and system changes.
  • Qualifications
  • Minimum:
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 additional years of business related experience in lieu of degree
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Analysis and troubleshooting experience

Preferred:

  • Experience with Tekla, Autodesk, Vision, PIM, POE, Atlas, or similar systems
  • Knowledge of engineering or manufacturing processes
  • Experience supporting internal software applications
