Summary

About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. ARMY COUNTERINTELLIGENCE COMMAND, OPERATIONS SUPPORT BATTALION, FT. MEADE, MD.

Duties

• •Produces detailed two- and three-dimensional CAD drawings and models that accurately reflect design intent, incorporating modifications based on test feedback.
• •Develops and optimizes CAD/CAM programs and CNC machining strategies for complex geometries and exotic materials, pushing the boundaries of available manufacturing equipment.
• •Manages multiple concurrent assignments by prioritizing tasks, tracking milestones, and proactively communicating risks or schedule impacts to relevant stakeholders.
• •Independently fabricates, overhauls, maintains, and repairs devices using a broad range of techniques including machining, welding, heat treating, and surface treatments across multiple media and materials.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as 1) Design, fabricate, and test non-standard intelligence collection or concealment devices using CAD/CAM systems; 2) serve as the primary technical point of contact for design and fabrication projects involving customers and stakeholders from multiple activities; AND 3) Provide direct advisory support to senior government officials or operational units on the feasibility, design approach, and fabrication methodology for non-standard equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GG/GS-12).
