ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (ELECTRICAL)

Summary

Duties

• •You will design and prepare electrical system/component installation plans and drawings for major modification of existing electrical generation, distribution, and interior wiring for light and power.
• •You will plan and carry out assignments by determining nature and condition assignments by determining nature and condition of existing facilities to develop necessary alteration. repair or modification of systems and equipment.
• •You will conduct trouble shooting, corrective and preventive maintenance to all electrical generation, distribution and interior wiring and equipment.
• •You will conduct line handing during mooring evolutions, crane operations and basic rigging.
• •You will address electrical safety concerns, and analyze new or modified systems and equipment.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning and executing assignments by determining nature and condition of existing facilities to develop necessary alteration, repair or modification; and applying electrical engineering methods, principles and techniques and the construction of electrical systems to prepare designs and specifications for modifications of electrical systems/components.
